Cheerleading
practices will be held from after school until 5pm every
Thursday in September and October. This practice is for
EVERY cheerleader, even if they are not cheering for
football. We will be starting our competition routine early
this year. Once November arrives, practices will be held
after school until 5pm every Monday and Thursday. PLEASE
PICK YOUR CHILD UP ON TIME---WE CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL 5:30PM
WITH YOUR CHILD. IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE COACHING STAFF AND
THEIR FAMILIES. |
|
|
TEAM MASS--The
CYO requires us as a team to attend one team Mass during the
season. We will choose a date after the holidays. The girls
will probably wear their uniforms. |
|
|
MEGAPHONES--The
Red Squad girls can decorate the megaphones with red, white
and black as well as other fun colors/designs as long as
they look clean and nice:) We will be using these for
football and bball games. We are currently working on
getting the White Squad megaphones as well. Stay tuned for
more info. |
|
|
GYMNASTICS-The
girls are highly encouraged to take gymnastic classes to
learn how to do a back-handspring or any other tumbling
passes. This will greatly add to their score and give them
an edge for high school cheerleading. |

The St. Maximillian Kolbe cheerleading
squads attended a private UCA camp this summer
(2007).
It was a three-day boot day which taught the girls
the fundamental skills of cheerleading. The Red and
White Squads both earned Superior trophies for their
efforts at camp. It's our first step to becoming a
strong team and key to having a safe and successful
year!
